How to Export Transparent Video from Canva

Follow these exact steps to export video with a transparent background from Canva using the MOV file format for professional projects.

1. Remove the background color. Select the background layer of your design. Open the color picker in the top toolbar and click the Add New Color button, then move the transparency slider to zero to ensure the workspace background is set to transparent.
2. Access the export menu. Click the Share button located in the top right corner of the Canva interface. Select Download from the dropdown menu to reveal the export settings panel.
3. Choose the MOV file type. Click the File Type dropdown menu and select MOV as the export format. MP4 does not support alpha channel transparency, so selecting MOV is mandatory.
