How to Use FaceTime on Android

Learn how to join FaceTime calls on Android devices using your web browser. Step-by-step guide to video calling with iPhone users from Android.

  1. Request a FaceTime link from an iPhone user. Ask someone with an iPhone, iPad, or Mac to create a FaceTime link and send it to you. They need iOS 15, iPadOS 15, or macOS Monterey or later. The iPhone user opens FaceTime, taps Create Link, then shares the link via text, email, or messaging app.
  2. Open the FaceTime link in your browser. Tap the FaceTime link you received on your Android device. Your default browser will open automatically. If prompted to choose an app, select Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge for the best experience.
  3. Enter your name. Type your name in the text field that appears on the FaceTime web page. This name will be visible to other participants in the call. Tap Continue when finished.
  4. Allow camera and microphone permissions. Your browser will request permission to access your camera and microphone. Tap Allow or Accept for both prompts. You can see yourself in the preview window to check your camera angle and lighting before joining.
  5. Join the FaceTime call. Tap the green Join button to enter the call. You will see other participants and can use the on-screen controls to mute your microphone, turn off your camera, or leave the call.
  6. Use call controls during the conversation. Tap the microphone icon to mute or unmute yourself. Tap the camera icon to turn your video on or off. Tap the red phone icon or close your browser tab to leave the call.
