How to Use Browser Extensions Effectively

1. Install extensions from official stores only. Open Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons, or Safari Extensions depending on your browser. Search for extensions by name and verify the developer is legitimate. Check user ratings and review count before clicking Add to Chrome, Add to Firefox, or Get for Safari.
2. Review permissions before installation. Read the permission request popup carefully before confirming installation. Extensions requesting access to all websites or personal data require extra scrutiny. Deny installation if permissions seem excessive for the extension's stated purpose.
3. Organize extensions in your toolbar. Right-click the extension icon in your toolbar and select Pin to keep frequently used extensions visible.
