- Enable Snap settings. Open the Settings app and navigate to System > Multitasking. Ensure the Snap windows toggle is set to On. Click the dropdown arrow next to Snap windows to verify all sub-options are enabled for optimal functionality.
- Access Snap layouts. Hover your mouse cursor over the maximize button located in the top-right corner of any active window. A grid of available Snap layouts will appear automatically. Select the specific zone within a layout where you want to place the window.
- After placing the first window, Windows will display the remaining open applications in the empty zones of your selected layout. Click the thumbnail of the application you wish to place in the next zone. Repeat this process until all zones are filled.
- Resize snapped windows. To change the size of snapped windows, move your cursor to the border where two snapped windows meet. When the cursor turns into a double-headed arrow, click and drag the divider. Both adjacent windows will resize simultaneously to maintain the layout.
- Utilize Snap groups. Hover over any icon of an application that is part of a Snap group in the taskbar. A preview of the entire group will appear. Clicking the group preview will restore all snapped windows in that specific layout simultaneously, minimizing the need to rearrange them.
