How to Mirror iPhone to Samsung TV

Mirror your iPhone screen to a Samsung TV using AirPlay, SmartThings, or screen mirroring. Step-by-step setup instructions.

1. Verify your Samsung TV supports AirPlay 2. Check your Samsung TV model year. AirPlay 2 is supported on Samsung Smart TVs from 2018 and later. Look at your TV's settings by pressing Home, then navigating to Settings > About This TV to confirm the model and year. Alternatively, visit Samsung's website with your model number to verify AirPlay 2 compatibility.
2. Connect iPhone and Samsung TV to the same Wi-Fi network. Open Settings on your iPhone and tap Wi-Fi. Select your home network and enter the password if prompted. On your Samsung TV, press Home, go to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi, and select the same network. Both devices must be on the identical Wi-Fi network for mirroring to work.
3. Open Control Center on your iPhone. Swipe down from the top-right corner of your iPhone screen (iPhone X and later) or swipe up from the bottom of the screen (iPhone 8 and earlier). The Control Center panel appears with quick access controls.
4. Tap Screen Mirroring in Control Center. In Control Center, locate the "Screen Mirroring" option. It appears as a rectangle with a curved line at the bottom. Tap it to view available devices. Your Samsung TV will appear in the list with its name.
5. Select your Samsung TV from the list. Tap your Samsung TV's name in the Screen Mirroring menu. Your iPhone will prompt you to enter an AirPlay code that appears on your TV screen. This code is typically four digits. Enter it on your iPhone keyboard.
6. Confirm mirroring is active. Once connected, your iPhone screen appears on the Samsung TV. The Screen Mirroring icon in Control Center turns blue to indicate an active connection. Your TV now displays everything on your iPhone, including apps, photos, videos, and web pages in real time.
7. If mirroring fails, restart both devices. Restart your Samsung TV by unplugging it for 10 seconds, then plugging it back in. On your iPhone, restart by powering off and on using the side buttons and Volume buttons. Return to Control Center and attempt Screen Mirroring again. Check that both devices remain on the same Wi-Fi network without interruption.
