How to Review and Delete Voice Assistant History

Learn how to manage and delete your voice assistant history on Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri to protect your privacy.

  1. Manage Amazon Alexa voice history. Open the Alexa app and tap More in the bottom navigation bar. Navigate to Settings, select Alexa Privacy, and tap Review Voice History. Choose a date range or select Filter by Device to view specific interactions.
  2. Clear Amazon Alexa history entries. Within the Review Voice History menu, tap the checkbox next to the specific recording you wish to remove. Tap Delete Selected Recordings to purge the data from Amazon's servers.
  3. Access Google Assistant activity. Open the Google app or Google Home app and tap your profile icon in the top right corner. Select My Activity and ensure the Web & App Activity tab is selected to view your voice commands.
  4. Purge Google Assistant logs. Locate the specific activity log you want to remove and tap the X icon next to the entry. To clear everything, tap Delete above the activity list and select All Time.
  5. Manage Siri history on iPhone. Open Settings, scroll down, and tap Siri & Search. Select Siri & Dictation History and tap Delete Siri & Dictation History to remove all interactions associated with your device identifier from Apple's servers.
  6. Disable future voice logging. In the same Siri & Search menu, ensure 'Improve Siri & Dictation' is toggled off. This prevents Apple from storing audio samples of your requests for human review.
