How to Protect Your Apple Wallet and Apple Pay on iPhone
Secure your Apple Wallet and financial data on iPhone with Stolen Device Protection, Face ID, and remote wipe protocols.
- Enable Stolen Device Protection. Navigate to Settings, select Face ID & Passcode, and enter your device passcode. Locate Stolen Device Protection and toggle the feature to On to require biometric authentication for sensitive actions.
- Confirm Face ID Requirements. Under the Face ID & Passcode menu, ensure that Wallet & Apple Pay is enabled. This ensures your device requires biometric verification before any card can be used for a transaction.
- Manage Express Transit Settings. Go to Settings, select Wallet & Apple Pay, and tap Express Transit Card. Disable any cards that do not require authentication if you rarely use them to prevent unintended charges.
- Audit Connected Devices. Open Settings and tap your Apple ID banner at the top. Scroll to the bottom to view the list of signed-in devices and remove any hardware that you no longer use or recognize.
- Prepare for Device Loss. Ensure Find My is enabled by going to Settings, tapping your name, selecting Find My, and toggling Find My iPhone to On. This allows you to remotely suspend or remove cards via iCloud.com if the device is stolen.
