How to Restrict Bluetooth Access on iPhone
Learn how to manage and secure Bluetooth permissions for apps on your iPhone to protect your data and privacy.
- Open Privacy and Security settings. Launch the Settings app from your Home Screen. Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security to access the central repository for app permissions.
- Access the Bluetooth permission list. Tap the Bluetooth option within the Privacy & Security menu. This displays a list of every app installed on your device that has previously requested or currently holds permission to use Bluetooth.
- Disable access for specific applications. Review the list of apps carefully. Toggle the switch to the off position for any application that does not require Bluetooth functionality for its primary purpose.
- Reset privacy settings if necessary. If you suspect malicious activity, navigate back to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone. Tap Reset and choose Reset Location & Privacy to revoke all existing app permissions.
- Verify current Bluetooth usage. Swipe down from the top-right corner to open the Control Center. Check the Bluetooth icon; if it is illuminated, verify that only authorized devices are actively connected.
