How to Reset Network Settings on iPad

Restore your iPad network configurations to factory defaults to resolve connectivity issues, Wi-Fi drops, and VPN errors in five minutes.

  1. Open iPad Settings. Locate the Settings app on your Home Screen or in your App Library. Tap the icon to launch the primary configuration interface for your device.
  2. Access General settings. In the left-hand sidebar, scroll down until you reach the General section. Tap General to reveal the system-wide management tools.
  3. Locate Transfer or Reset iPad. Scroll to the bottom of the General pane. Tap the button labeled Transfer or Reset iPad.
  4. Initiate network reset. Tap the Reset button located at the bottom of the screen. From the resulting pop-up menu, select Reset Network Settings.
  5. Authenticate the request. When prompted, enter your device passcode to verify your authorization. Confirm the final reset prompt by tapping Reset Network Settings once more.
  6. Allow device restart. Your iPad will automatically initiate a reboot process. Wait for the Apple logo to appear and for the device to return to the lock screen before attempting to rejoin any networks.
