How to Use Google Lens on Android
Master Google Lens on Android to identify objects, translate text, and extract data from images in real-time.
- Open the Google Lens interface. Locate the Google app on your home screen or app drawer. Tap the multicolored camera icon located inside the search bar to initialize the Google Lens viewfinder.
- Choose your capture mode. Scroll through the carousel menu at the bottom of the viewfinder. Select the appropriate mode for your task, such as Translate, Text, Search, or Homework.
- Focus and capture the subject. Point your camera at the object or text you wish to analyze. Ensure the subject is well-lit and centered, then tap the shutter button or wait for the interface to display white dots over identifiable elements.
- Process the visual data. Once the results populate, tap the highlighted areas to view details. If using Translate mode, the app will overlay the translated text directly onto the original image.
- Perform local or gallery searches. Tap the image icon in the top right corner of the viewfinder to access your device gallery. Select any existing photograph to perform an analysis on images stored locally on your device.
