Master image enhancement tools in Google Photos. Learn to crop, adjust lighting, and apply filters to your images directly on your Android device.

  1. Select the target image. Open the Google Photos application on your device. Browse your library or albums to locate the specific photograph you intend to modify and tap the thumbnail to open it in full-screen view.
  2. Enter the editor interface. Tap the Edit button located at the bottom of the screen. This action loads the image into the editing suite, displaying the adjustment tools and filters at the bottom of your display.
  3. Modify lighting and color. Select the Adjust tab to modify specific attributes like Brightness, Contrast, and White Point. Use the slider tool to increase or decrease the intensity of each setting until the desired visual balance is achieved.
  4. Crop and rotate your photo. Select the Crop tab to change the image aspect ratio or rotate the orientation. Use the frame handles to define new edges, or tap the rotation icon to correct tilted horizons.
  5. Apply visual filters. Navigate to the Filters tab to apply preset color profiles to your image. Tap any filter name to preview the effect, and use the slider to adjust the opacity or strength of the applied filter.
  6. Commit your changes. Tap Save copy at the bottom right to preserve your original file and create a new version with your edits applied. Alternatively, tap Save to overwrite the original file if you do not require the unmodified version.
