How to Fix Bluetooth Earbuds Connection Issues on Android
Troubleshoot and resolve Bluetooth connectivity issues between your wireless earbuds and Android device with these precise steps.
- Toggle Bluetooth and Airplane Mode. Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the Quick Settings panel. Tap the Bluetooth icon to disable it, wait five seconds, and tap it again to re-enable. If the connection fails, toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds to reset all wireless radios.
- Forget the Bluetooth Device. Navigate to Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Bluetooth. Locate your earbuds in the list of previously connected devices and tap the Settings (gear) icon next to their name. Select Forget to remove the stored pairing profile entirely.
- Reset the Earbuds. Place both earbuds into their charging case and keep the lid open. Locate the pairing or reset button on the case and hold it until the LED indicator flashes or changes color to signal a factory reset. Consult the manufacturer manual for the specific reset sequence required for your model.
- Enter Pairing Mode. Once the earbuds are reset, trigger pairing mode. On most models, this is achieved by pressing and holding the button on the charging case for three to five seconds while the earbuds are inside. Confirm the LED is pulsing to indicate the device is discoverable.
- Re-pair via Bluetooth Settings. Return to Settings > Connected devices > Pair new device on your Android phone. Allow the phone to scan for available hardware. When your earbuds appear in the list, tap the name to initiate the secure pairing request and confirm any prompts on your screen.
- Clear Bluetooth Cache. If the connection persists in failing, navigate to Settings > Apps > See all apps. Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right and select Show system, then locate Bluetooth in the list. Tap Storage & cache and select Clear cache, then restart your smartphone.
