Migrating Data from Android Tablet to iPad
Follow this systematic process to transfer your photos, contacts, and data from an Android tablet to a new iPad using the Move to iOS application.
- Install Move to iOS on your Android device. Download and install the Move to iOS application from the Google Play Store on your Android tablet. Ensure both your Android device and your new iPad are connected to the same local Wi-Fi network and are plugged into power sources.
- Start the iPad setup process. Power on your new iPad. Follow the initial setup instructions until you reach the Apps & Data screen. Select the option labeled Move Data from Android.
- Enter the transfer code. A ten-digit or six-digit code will appear on your iPad screen. Open the Move to iOS app on your Android tablet and input this code when prompted. The devices will establish a secure, private Wi-Fi connection.
- Select content for migration. On your Android tablet, select the data categories you wish to transfer, including contacts, message history, camera photos, and web bookmarks. Tap Continue to initiate the transfer process.
- Complete iPad configuration. Wait for the progress bar on the iPad to finish loading, even if the Android tablet indicates the process is complete. Once finished, tap Done on your Android device and continue the on-screen prompts on your iPad to finish signing into your Apple ID.
