How to Activate an eSIM on Your Tablet

Follow these steps to activate an eSIM on your tablet. Connect to cellular networks instantly without a physical SIM card.

  1. Open Cellular Settings. Navigate to the Settings app on your tablet. Select the Cellular Data menu from the left-hand sidebar to access your network configuration options.
  2. Initiate Plan Addition. Tap the Add a New Plan or Set Up Cellular Data button located within the Cellular Data interface. If a prompt appears asking to transfer a SIM from another device, select the option to set up a new plan.
  3. Scan the Activation QR Code. Position your tablet camera over the QR code provided by your network carrier. If you are unable to use the camera, tap Enter Details Manually at the bottom of the screen to input the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code.
  4. Confirm Cellular Plan Installation. Once the QR code is recognized, tap Add Cellular Plan when prompted. The device will attempt to communicate with the carrier server to verify and register your tablet’s EID on the network.
  5. Label the Cellular Plan. Assign a name or label to your new cellular plan, such as Primary or Data, to distinguish it in your system settings. Tap Done to finalize the addition of the profile.
  6. Verify Network Connectivity. Toggle the Cellular Data switch to the On position. Wait for the signal bars to appear in the status bar at the top right of your display, indicating a successful connection to the carrier network.
