How to Pair Bose Headphones with Your Device

Pairing Bose headphones connects them wirelessly to your phone, tablet, or computer via Bluetooth. Most Bose models follow the same pairing process, though button locations may vary by model.

  1. Power on your Bose headphones. Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds until you hear the startup tone. The LED indicator will glow blue, then switch to white when fully powered on.
  2. Enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Press and hold the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds until you hear "Ready to pair" and the LED indicator flashes blue. On older models without a dedicated Bluetooth button, slide the Power switch to the Bluetooth symbol.
  3. Open Bluetooth settings on your device. Navigate to Settings > Bluetooth on iOS or Android. On Windows, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. On Mac, click the Apple menu > System Preferences > Bluetooth.
  4. Enable Bluetooth if needed. Toggle Bluetooth on if it appears disabled. Your device will begin scanning for available Bluetooth devices automatically.
  5. Select your Bose headphones from the device list. Look for your Bose model name in the available devices list, such as "Bose QC45" or "SoundLink Mini." Tap or click the device name to initiate pairing.
  6. Complete the pairing process. Your device will connect to the headphones within 10-15 seconds. You'll hear "Connected" from the headphones and see "Connected" next to the device name in your Bluetooth settings.
  7. Test the audio connection. Play music or a video to confirm audio is coming through your Bose headphones. Adjust volume using either your device's controls or the headphones' volume buttons.
