How to Make YouTube Community Posts
Create YouTube Community posts to engage your audience with polls, images, text updates, and GIFs. Learn the requirements and step-by-step process.
- Verify your channel meets requirements. Ensure your channel has 500+ subscribers or is verified through YouTube Studio. Navigate to YouTube Studio > Settings > Channel > Feature eligibility to check your Community tab status.
- Access the Community tab. Open YouTube Studio and click 'Content' in the left sidebar. Select the 'Community' tab at the top of the page, next to 'Videos' and 'Live'.
- Click 'Create post'. Select the blue 'Create post' button in the upper right corner of the Community section. This opens the post creation interface.
- Choose your post type. Select from text post, image post, poll, or GIF. Click the corresponding icon in the post composer. For polls, you'll see additional options for adding poll choices.
- Add your content. Write your text in the main text box (500 character limit). For image posts, click the image icon and upload from your device. For polls, add your question and up to four answer options.
- Set visibility and publish. Choose your audience from the dropdown menu: Public, Unlisted, or Members only (if you have channel memberships enabled). Click 'Publish' to post immediately or 'Schedule' to set a future publish time.
