How to Create TikTok Slideshows

Learn to make engaging TikTok slideshows with photos, text, and music. Step-by-step guide for creating photo carousels on TikTok mobile app.

1. Open TikTok and start creating. Launch the TikTok app and tap the plus (+) icon at the bottom center of the screen. This opens the camera interface where you can access all creation tools.
2. Select Photo mode. Tap 'Photo' at the bottom right of the camera screen, next to the record button. This switches from video recording to photo slideshow mode, indicated by a camera icon replacing the video camera.
3. Choose your photos. Tap 'Select multiple' to choose 2-35 photos from your camera roll. Select photos by tapping them—chosen images show a blue checkmark and number. Tap 'Next' when finished selecting.
4. Adjust photo timing and transitions. Use the timeline at the bottom to adjust how long each photo displays. Tap and drag the edges of photo segments to change duration. Select transition effects by tapping the transition icon between photos.
5. Add music and sound. Tap 'Add sound' at the top of the screen to browse TikTok's music library. Search for specific songs or browse trending audio. Tap the checkmark to add your selected audio track.
6. Include text and effects. Tap 'Text' to add captions, titles, or descriptions to individual photos or the entire slideshow. Select font style, color, and positioning. Add filters by tapping 'Filters' and selecting your preferred visual effect.
7. Preview and publish. Tap the play button to preview your slideshow with audio and transitions. Make adjustments if needed, then tap 'Next' to add a caption and hashtags. Tap 'Post' to publish your slideshow to TikTok.
