How to Set Up LinkedIn Creator Mode
Enable LinkedIn Creator Mode to access advanced content tools, analytics, and follower features. Complete setup guide with step-by-step instructions.
- Access your LinkedIn profile settings. Open LinkedIn and click your profile photo in the top navigation bar. Select 'View profile' from the dropdown menu. On your profile page, click the 'More' button below your profile headline, then select 'Creator mode' from the menu.
- Toggle Creator mode on. On the Creator mode page, you'll see a toggle switch at the top. Click the toggle to turn Creator mode 'On'. The switch will turn blue when activated. LinkedIn will display a brief explanation of what changes when you enable this feature.
- Select your content topics. Choose up to 5 hashtags that represent the topics you'll create content about. Type in the search box to find relevant hashtags or select from LinkedIn's suggested topics. These hashtags will appear prominently on your profile and help others discover your content.
- Review your profile changes. LinkedIn automatically adjusts your profile layout. Your selected topics now appear at the top of your profile. The 'Connect' button changes to 'Follow' for new visitors, and your activity section prioritizes posts over job changes. Review these changes to ensure they align with your goals.
- Access Creator tools. Navigate to linkedin.com/creator/hub to access your Creator dashboard. Here you'll find content analytics, follower insights, and scheduling tools. The dashboard shows post performance, audience demographics, and engagement metrics across your content.
- Set up LinkedIn Live notifications. In Creator mode, you can broadcast live video to your followers. To enable this feature, go to Creator tools and select 'LinkedIn Live'. Request access if you haven't already, then configure notification settings to alert your followers when you go live.
