How to Schedule Instagram Posts
Schedule Instagram posts using Meta Business Suite, Creator Studio, or third-party apps. Step-by-step guide for automated posting on Instagram.
- Convert to a business or creator account. Open Instagram and go to your profile. Tap the three lines in the top right corner, select Settings and privacy > Account type and tools > Switch to professional account. Choose either Business or Creator account type to access scheduling features.
- Access Meta Business Suite. Visit business.facebook.com on your computer or download the Meta Business Suite app. Log in with your Facebook account that's connected to your Instagram business account. Select your Instagram account from the account switcher if you manage multiple pages.
- Create your post content. Click Create post in the top navigation. Select Instagram as your destination platform. Upload your image or video content by dragging files into the upload area or clicking Add media. Write your caption and add hashtags in the text field.
- Set your publishing schedule. Instead of clicking Publish now, click the dropdown arrow and select Schedule. Choose your desired publication date and time using the date picker and time selector. Consider your audience's time zone and peak engagement hours.
- Review and confirm scheduling. Preview your scheduled post by clicking Preview to see how it will appear in the Instagram feed. Verify the publication date, time, and content are correct. Click Schedule to confirm and add the post to your content calendar.
- Manage scheduled content. View all scheduled posts in the Content library section of Meta Business Suite. Click on any scheduled post to edit the content, change the publication time, or delete the scheduled post. Scheduled posts appear with a clock icon and the planned publication time.
