How to Use Midjourney on the Web
Midjourney's web interface provides a streamlined way to generate AI images directly in your browser. The web version offers the same powerful AI capabilities as Discord with an improved user experience and better organization tools.
- Access Midjourney's web interface. Navigate to alpha.midjourney.com in your web browser. Sign in with your existing Midjourney account credentials. If you don't have an account, you'll need to create one through Discord first and have an active subscription.
- Navigate to the Create tab. Click the Create tab in the top navigation bar. This opens the main image generation interface where you'll enter prompts and adjust settings. The interface displays a text input field at the bottom and a grid of generated images above.
- Write your image prompt. Type your description in the text field at the bottom of the screen. Be specific about what you want to see, including style, composition, and details. For example: 'a serene mountain lake at sunset, hyperrealistic photography style, golden hour lighting'.
- Adjust generation settings. Click the settings icon next to the prompt field to open the parameters panel. Choose your aspect ratio from the preset options like 16:9 or 1:1. Select your preferred model version and adjust stylization strength using the slider controls.
- Generate and review images. Press Enter or click the arrow button to generate four image variations. Wait for the generation to complete—this typically takes 30-60 seconds. The images appear in a 2x2 grid above your prompt with each image labeled V1 through V4.
- Upscale or create variations. Hover over any generated image to reveal action buttons. Click the upscale icon to create a higher resolution version, or click the variation icon to generate four new images based on that specific result. Use the heart icon to save favorites to your gallery.
- Download and manage your images. Right-click any image and select 'Save image as' to download it to your computer. Access your complete generation history by clicking the Archive tab. Use the Gallery tab to view and organize your favorited images.
