How to Use Ideogram to Generate Images

Ideogram is an AI image generator that excels at creating images with accurate text rendering and diverse artistic styles. The platform offers both free and paid tiers with different generation limits and features.

1. Create your Ideogram account. Navigate to ideogram.ai and click Sign Up. Enter your email address and create a password, or sign up using your Google account. Verify your email if prompted. Free accounts include 25 generations per day with basic features.
2. Write an effective prompt. Click the text box at the bottom of the screen and describe your desired image in detail. Include specific objects, colors, lighting, composition, and style. For text in images, put the exact words in quotation marks within your prompt.
3. Select your aspect ratio. Click the aspect ratio button next to the prompt box. Choose from Square (1:1), Portrait (4:5), Landscape (16:10), or other presets. Select the ratio that matches your intended use case.
4. Choose a style model. Click Model and select from General, Realistic, Design, or Anime styles. General works for most use cases, Realistic produces photographic results, Design creates clean graphics, and Anime generates illustrated characters.
5. Adjust generation settings. Set Magic Prompt to Auto for enhanced prompt interpretation, or Off for literal interpretation. Choose whether to make your image Public (visible to others) or Private. Select Low or High quality based on your needs.
6. Generate and review results. Click Generate to create four image variations. Wait 10-30 seconds for processing. Review all four options and click on your preferred result to enlarge it. Each generation uses one credit from your daily allowance.
7. Download your image. Click the download icon on your chosen image to save it as a PNG file. The image downloads to your default Downloads folder. Free accounts download at 1024x1024 resolution, while premium accounts get higher resolutions.
