How to Use Gemini in Google Slides

Gemini integrates directly into Google Slides to help you create presentations faster and more effectively. This AI assistant can generate slide content, suggest layouts, and help refine your presentations with intelligent recommendations.

1. Access Gemini in Google Slides. Open Google Slides and create a new presentation or open an existing one. Look for the Gemini icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen, or click Insert > Gemini from the menu bar. The Gemini sidebar will appear on the right side of your screen.
2. Generate presentation content. Type your presentation topic or request in the Gemini prompt box. 4. Enhance existing slides with Gemini. Select any existing slide in your presentation, then ask Gemini to improve it. Type requests like 'Make this slide more engaging' or 'Add speaker notes to this slide.' Gemini will analyze your current content and provide enhancement suggestions.
5. Generate images and visual elements. Ask Gemini to create images for your slides by describing what you need. Type prompts like 'Create an image of a modern office workspace' or 'Generate a diagram showing the water cycle.' Gemini will provide AI-generated images that you can insert directly into your slides.
6. Refine content with follow-up prompts. After inserting content, continue the conversation with Gemini to make adjustments. Ask it to 'Make this more concise,' 'Add more technical details,' or 'Rewrite this for a younger audience.' Gemini will modify the content based on your feedback.
7. Apply design suggestions. Ask Gemini for design recommendations by typing requests like 'Suggest a better layout for this slide' or 'Recommend colors for my presentation theme.' Gemini will provide specific design guidance and can help you apply consistent formatting across all slides.
