How to Use Adobe Podcast AI to Clean Audio
Adobe Podcast AI provides a free speech enhancement tool that removes background noise, echo, and other audio artifacts from recordings. The AI-powered processing works entirely in your browser and can dramatically improve the quality of podcasts, interviews, and voice recordings.
- Navigate to Adobe Podcast Enhance. Open your web browser and go to podcast.adobe.com. Click the 'Enhance' tab in the top navigation. No account creation is required for basic audio enhancement features.
- Upload your audio file. Drag and drop your audio file into the upload area or click 'Select files from your computer'. Adobe Podcast supports WAV, MP3, and M4A formats up to 1GB in size. Files longer than 30 minutes require a free Adobe account.
- Wait for AI processing. Adobe's AI will automatically analyze and process your audio. Processing time varies based on file length and current server load, typically taking 1-3 minutes for a 10-minute recording. A progress bar shows the enhancement status.
- Preview the enhanced audio. Once processing completes, use the built-in player to compare your original and enhanced audio. Toggle between 'Original' and 'Enhanced' using the buttons above the waveform. Listen for noise reduction, echo removal, and speech clarity improvements.
- Download the cleaned audio. Click the 'Download' button to save the enhanced audio file. The processed file downloads as an MP3 with the same filename as your original, tagged with '_enhanced'. The download begins immediately without additional compression options.
- Verify the enhanced results. Open the downloaded file in your audio editor or media player. Check that the enhancement preserved the natural sound of speech while removing unwanted background noise. If results are unsatisfactory, try uploading a different section or adjusting your recording setup for future sessions.
