How to Get ChatGPT Team Access
ChatGPT Team provides collaborative workspace features, higher usage limits, and admin controls for organizations. You can upgrade from ChatGPT Plus or start fresh with a Team subscription.
- Navigate to ChatGPT Team pricing page. Open your web browser and go to chat.openai.com. Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner, then select 'My plan' from the menu. On the billing page, click 'Upgrade to Team' or visit the ChatGPT Team pricing page directly at openai.com/chatgpt/team.
- Select your team size and billing cycle. Choose the number of team members you need. The minimum is 2 users at $25 per user per month when billed annually, or $30 per user per month when billed monthly. Select your preferred billing cycle and click 'Get started' or 'Upgrade to Team'.
- Enter payment information. Provide your credit card details or business payment method. Fill in the billing address and company information if required. Review the total cost including taxes and click 'Subscribe' to complete the payment process.
- Set up your team workspace. After payment confirmation, you'll be redirected to the team setup page. Enter your team or company name, which will become your workspace identifier. This name will be visible to all team members and cannot be easily changed later.
- Invite team members. Click 'Invite members' and enter the email addresses of team members you want to add. You can invite multiple people at once by separating emails with commas. Click 'Send invitations' to email the invites. Invited members will receive an email with setup instructions.
- Configure team settings and permissions. Access the admin dashboard by clicking the gear icon next to your workspace name. Set up usage policies, data retention preferences, and member permissions. Configure whether team members can share conversations externally and adjust other security settings as needed.
- Verify team access activation. Check that the ChatGPT interface shows your team workspace name in the sidebar. Confirm you can access team-specific features like shared conversations, higher message limits, and admin controls. Test creating a shared conversation to ensure team functionality is working correctly.
