How to Show Battery Percentage on Mac

Enable the battery percentage display on your Mac's menu bar with these simple steps for macOS Sequoia and earlier versions.

  1. Open System Settings. Click the Apple menu icon located in the top-left corner of your screen. Select System Settings from the dropdown menu to launch the configuration panel.
  2. Locate Control Center settings. Scroll down the sidebar on the left side of the window. Click on the Control Center tab to reveal the display and menu bar configuration options.
  3. Configure Battery settings. Scroll through the Control Center menu until you reach the Battery section. Click the toggle switch next to Show Percentage to enable it.
  4. Confirm the display change. Look at the menu bar in the top-right corner of your screen. Ensure the numerical battery percentage is visible next to the battery icon.
