How to Share Contact Information Using NameDrop

Learn how to share contact information seamlessly using NameDrop on iOS. Follow these steps for professional, efficient contact exchange.

  1. Verify AirDrop settings. Navigate to Settings > General > AirDrop. Ensure 'Bringing Devices Together' is toggled to the On position to enable the proximity handshake.
  2. Align the devices. Bring the top edge of your iPhone close to the top edge of the other person's iPhone. Maintain a distance of within a few centimeters to initiate the connection.
  3. Authorize the transfer. Review the contact poster displayed on your screen. Tap 'Share' to send your contact card or 'Receive Only' to capture their details without sharing your own.
  4. Separate the devices. Move your iPhone away from the other device once the transfer confirmation appears. The contact is now saved automatically to your Contacts app.
