How to Enable One-Handed Mode on Android

Enable and configure One-Handed Mode on Android to reach the top of your screen with a single gesture.

  1. Open System Settings. Open the Settings app from your home screen or app drawer. Scroll down and tap on System.
  2. Access Gestures. Select the Gestures menu within the System settings screen. Locate the entry labeled One-handed mode.
  3. Activate the Feature. Toggle the Use one-handed mode switch to the On position. The feature is now active and ready for custom configuration.
  4. Set Exit Behavior. Choose whether the display should return to normal when you tap above the app area or after switching apps. Select 'Exit when switching apps' if you want the mode to persist while multitasking.
  5. Use One-Handed Mode. Swipe down on the bottom edge of your screen to trigger the mode. To exit, swipe up from the bottom edge or tap the empty space at the top of the screen.
