How to Find Your Wi-Fi Password on iPhone
Your iPhone stores Wi-Fi passwords for networks you've connected to, but they're hidden for security. You can reveal these passwords using Face ID or Touch ID authentication to share with others or use on different devices.
- Open Settings and navigate to Wi-Fi. Tap the Settings app on your home screen. Scroll down and tap Wi-Fi. Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled by checking that the toggle at the top is green.
- Select your Wi-Fi network. Find the network you want the password for in the list. If you're currently connected to it, it will show a checkmark and appear at the top under "My Networks." Tap the blue info button (i) next to the network name.
- Tap the password field. On the network details screen, look for the "Password" field. Tap directly on the password field where you see the hidden dots or asterisks. Do not tap the word "Password" itself.
- Authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID. Your iPhone will prompt you to authenticate using Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your identity. The system uses this authentication to ensure only authorized users can view saved passwords.
- View and copy the password. After successful authentication, the Wi-Fi password will appear in plain text in the password field. Tap and hold the password to select it, then tap "Copy" to copy it to your clipboard for sharing or manual entry on other devices.
