How to Download DALL-E Images

DALL-E generates images that exist only in your browser session until you actively save them. Downloading these AI-generated images preserves them permanently on your device for future use, sharing, or editing.

1. Generate your desired image. Enter your prompt in the DALL-E text box and click Generate. Wait for the AI to create your images. DALL-E typically produces four variations of your prompt.
2. Select the image you want to download. Click on the specific image variation you prefer. The selected image will expand or become highlighted with a border around it.
3. Click the download button. Look for the download icon (downward arrow) in the image controls. This button appears either as an overlay on the image or in a toolbar below it. Click this download button.
4. Choose your save location. Your browser will open a save dialog. Navigate to your preferred folder and rename the file if desired. The image downloads as a PNG file by default.
5. Verify the download completed. Check your Downloads folder or chosen save location to confirm the image file saved successfully. The file will retain the original resolution generated by DALL-E.
