How to Open Quick Settings in Windows 11

Learn how to instantly access the Quick Settings menu in Windows 11 to manage Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, volume, and display brightness settings.

  1. Identify the System Tray. Locate the System Tray area on the far right side of the Windows Taskbar. This area houses your network, volume, and battery icons.
  2. Open the Quick Settings panel. Click on the cluster of icons representing Network, Volume, and Battery. This action triggers the Quick Settings flyout menu.
  3. Toggle specific settings. Click individual tiles such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Airplane Mode to toggle their state. Tiles with a light blue background are currently enabled.
  4. Modify audio and brightness levels. Use the horizontal sliders at the bottom of the panel to adjust your screen brightness and system audio output. Drag the slider handle to the left or right to change values.
  5. Dismiss the menu. Click anywhere on the desktop or press the Windows Key + A again to close the Quick Settings panel. The menu also closes automatically when you launch an application.
