- Verify display arrangement settings. Right-click your desktop and select Display settings. Ensure the layout matches your physical monitor setup by dragging the monitor icons in the Display arrangement window to align with their actual positions.
- Use keyboard shortcuts to shift windows. Select the window you wish to move. Press and hold the Windows key, then press Shift plus the Left or Right Arrow key to instantly jump the active window to the adjacent monitor.
- Drag windows using the mouse. Click and hold the title bar of the active window. Drag the window across the screen boundary into the secondary display. Release the mouse button when the window reaches the desired position.
- Utilize Snap Layouts for secondary displays. Hover your mouse cursor over the maximize button of any window to trigger the Snap Layout menu. Select the desired position to automatically snap the window into a specific grid section on your secondary monitor.
- Reset window positions. If a window disappears or fails to move, right-click the Taskbar icon of the application. Select Move, press any arrow key once, then use your mouse to snap the window back into view.
