How to move Windows 11 taskbar icons to the left

Learn how to shift your taskbar icons from the center to the left-aligned position in Windows 11 using the Taskbar Settings menu.

  1. Open Taskbar Settings. Right-click any empty space on your taskbar. Select Taskbar settings from the context menu that appears.
  2. Locate Taskbar behaviors. Scroll down the Taskbar settings window. Click on the Taskbar behaviors section to expand the hidden options.
  3. Change alignment setting. Look for the Taskbar alignment dropdown menu. It is typically set to Center by default.
  4. Select Left alignment. Click the dropdown menu and select Left from the available options. Your taskbar icons will shift to the left side of the screen immediately.
