How to Adjust Display Scaling in Windows 11
Learn how to precisely adjust display scaling on Windows 11 to improve text readability and optimize your screen real estate for high-resolution monitors.
- Open the Display Settings menu. Right-click any empty space on your desktop and select Display settings from the context menu. Alternatively, press the Windows key, type Display settings, and press Enter to launch the panel directly.
- Select the target display. If you are utilizing a multi-monitor setup, click on the specific monitor icon at the top of the window that you intend to rescale. The selected monitor will be highlighted with a blue border.
- Adjust the scale percentage. Locate the Scale dropdown menu under the Scale & layout section. Select your preferred percentage from the list, such as 100%, 125%, or 150%, to increase the size of text, icons, and apps.
- Apply custom scaling values. If the preset options do not meet your requirements, click on the Scale dropdown itself to open the advanced custom scaling menu. Enter a value between 100% and 500% in the text field, then click the checkmark icon to apply.
- Sign out to apply changes. Windows may require you to sign out of your user profile for scaling changes to take effect across all system processes. Click the Sign out now link that appears in the notification banner to refresh your session.
