How to Connect Windows to Wi-Fi During Initial Setup
Learn how to connect your Windows PC to a wireless network during the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) setup process.
- Reach the Let's connect you to a network screen. Proceed through the initial Windows installation screens, including language selection and keyboard layout. Once you reach the Let's connect you to a network screen, the system will automatically scan for available wireless signals.
- Choose your wireless network. Review the list of available networks presented on the screen. Locate your preferred network and click on the name to select it.
- Enter your network security key. Once the network is selected, click the Connect button. Type your wireless network password into the provided text field exactly as it appears, paying attention to case-sensitivity.
- Confirm the established connection. Wait for the status indicator to change to Connected. Once the status confirms the connection, click the Next button to proceed with the remaining Windows setup steps.
- Use the command prompt bypass if no network is found. If you cannot connect or lack a wireless driver, press Shift + F10 to open the Command Prompt. Type OOBE\BYPASSNRO and press Enter to restart the machine and proceed with a local account setup without an internet connection.
