How to set and manage timers on Apple Watch

Master time management on your wrist. Learn how to set, customize, and manage multiple timers directly on your Apple Watch with this quick guide.

  1. Open the Timers app. Press the Digital Crown to view your app grid or list. Locate and tap the Timers icon, represented by a yellow clock face.
  2. Set a custom duration. Tap Custom to define a specific duration. Use the Digital Crown to scroll through and select the hours, minutes, and seconds, then tap the green Start button.
  3. Start multiple concurrent timers. Tap the back arrow in the top left corner while a timer is running. Configure a new duration and tap Start to run additional timers simultaneously.
  4. Pause or cancel an active timer. Tap the Pause button to halt a timer temporarily. To stop a timer entirely, tap the Cancel button identified by the red 'X' icon.
  5. Create a repeating timer. Tap the three-dot menu icon within the timer configuration screen. Select Repeat and choose the frequency, such as Every 5 Minutes, to automate repetitive tasks.
