How to Use Smart Stack on Apple Watch

Master your Apple Watch interface with Smart Stack. Learn to access, customize, and manage widgets for instant information on watchOS.

1. Open the Smart Stack. From any watch face, rotate the Digital Crown upwards. The Smart Stack will slide into view from the bottom of the screen, displaying your active widgets.
2. Scroll through your widgets. Continue rotating the Digital Crown to cycle through the stack vertically. Each widget provides glanceable data or quick access to a specific application.
3. Add new widgets to the stack. Long-press anywhere on the Smart Stack until the screen enters edit mode. Tap the yellow plus (+) icon to view the widget gallery, then select your desired widget to append it to the stack.
4. Pin and remove widgets. While in edit mode, tap the red minus (-) icon to remove a widget from your stack. Tap the blue pin icon on any widget to lock it in a fixed position, ensuring it remains at the top of your stack regardless of system intelligence recommendations.
5. Save your changes. Once your stack is configured, press the Digital Crown once to exit edit mode and return to your watch face. The Smart Stack will now reflect your updated order and selection.
