How to Interpret Apple Watch Fitness Trends
Analyze your long-term fitness patterns on Apple Watch to understand your health trajectory and identify improvements in activity, standing, and cardio.
- Open the Fitness application. Unlock your iPhone and locate the Fitness app icon. Tap to launch the application and ensure you are on the Summary tab located at the bottom left of the interface.
- Access the Trends section. Scroll downward on the Summary page past your Activity rings and Workouts. Locate the Trends card, which displays a brief snapshot of your recent fitness trajectory.
- Interpret the trend arrows. Examine the status arrows next to your metrics. An upward arrow indicates an increase in that metric over the last 90 days, while a downward arrow indicates a decline compared to the previous period.
- Examine specific metric details. Tap on any individual trend card to open a detailed breakdown. Review the bar chart to see how your daily consistency has changed over the past year.
- Act on your trend data. Use the insights provided to refine your Activity goals. If a metric is trending downward consistently, consider adjusting your daily Move goal or increasing the frequency of your workout sessions to reverse the trend.
