How to set move, exercise, and stand goals on Apple Watch

Learn how to customize your Activity goals on Apple Watch to match your fitness level and tracking needs.

  1. Open the Activity app. Press the Digital Crown to view your app grid or list. Locate and tap the Activity app, represented by the three interlocking rings icon.
  2. Access your goal settings. Scroll to the bottom of your primary Activity summary screen. Tap the Change Goals button to enter the configuration menu.
  3. Adjust your Move goal. Tap the plus or minus buttons to increase or decrease your daily active calorie burn goal. This ring measures calories burned through physical movement.
  4. Adjust your Exercise goal. Tap Next to advance to the Exercise goal screen. Use the plus or minus buttons to set the number of minutes you aim to spend performing brisk physical activity each day.
  5. Adjust your Stand goal. Tap Next to reach the Stand goal settings. Adjust the number of hours in which you must stand and move for at least one minute to earn credit.
  6. Save your new targets. Review your updated settings on the summary screen. Tap OK to commit the changes and return to the main Activity ring display.
