How to Manage Location Services on Apple Watch

Control which apps can access your location on Apple Watch with these step-by-step instructions for watchOS.

  1. Open the Settings app. Press the Digital Crown to view your apps. Select the Settings icon, which is represented by a grey gear graphic.
  2. Access Privacy settings. Scroll down the Settings menu using the Digital Crown or your finger. Tap the Privacy & Security option.
  3. Open Location Services. Select Location Services from the list. This menu displays the master toggle for all location-based activity on your device.
  4. Manage individual app permissions. Scroll through the list of installed applications. Tap on any specific app to view its current permission settings.
  5. Set access constraints. Select between While Using the App or Never to define the level of access. Your changes apply immediately and do not require a restart.
