How to Customize Haptic Feedback on Apple Watch
Learn how to adjust the intensity and patterns of haptic notifications on your Apple Watch to ensure you never miss an alert.
- Access the Settings menu on your Apple Watch. Press the Digital Crown to view your app grid or list. Locate and tap the Settings app, represented by a grey gear icon.
- Locate Sounds & Haptics settings. Scroll down the Settings menu using the Digital Crown or your finger. Tap on the Sounds & Haptics menu option to view current notification preferences.
- Select your Haptic intensity. Scroll until you reach the Haptic Intensity section. Choose between Default, which provides a standard vibration, or Prominent, which adds an extra tap before most notifications to increase awareness.
- Modify Haptics via iPhone. Open the Watch app on your paired iPhone. Navigate to the My Watch tab, tap Sounds & Haptics, and adjust the Haptic Intensity slider to your preference.
- Test the new feedback. Once the setting is applied, the Watch will provide a sample tap to verify the intensity change. If the feedback is too subtle or too aggressive, return to the settings to recalibrate immediately.
