How to set up medication reminders on Apple Watch

Configure Apple Watch medication reminders to ensure timely doses through Health app synchronization and haptic notifications.

  1. Open the Health app on iPhone. Launch the Health app on your paired iPhone. Navigate to the Browse tab at the bottom right of the screen and select Medications from the Health Categories list.
  2. Add your medication to the list. Tap Add a Medication. Use the camera to scan the label or enter the medication name manually. Follow the on-screen prompts to define the shape, color, and dosage frequency.
  3. Verify Apple Watch notification settings. Open the Watch app on your iPhone. Tap My Watch, then select Notifications. Scroll down to Medications and ensure the toggle is set to On.
  4. Log medication from the watch face. When a reminder triggers, tap the notification on your Apple Watch. Select Log Taken to record the dose or Log Skipped if the medication was not administered.
  5. Manage your medication schedule. To edit or remove a medication, return to the Health app on your iPhone. Select the medication within the Medications menu, tap Edit, and modify your schedule or details as required.
