Fixing Smartwatch Notifications After Initial Setup

Restore missed alerts on your smartwatch. A step-by-step guide to troubleshooting notification syncing, permissions, and focus mode settings.

1. Check the Bluetooth connection status. Ensure Bluetooth is toggled on for both devices. Open your smartphone settings, navigate to Bluetooth, and confirm the smartwatch is listed as connected. If the status indicates disconnected, toggle Bluetooth off for 10 seconds, then turn it back on to force a handshake.
2. Verify notification permissions in the companion app. Open the official companion app on your smartphone. Navigate to the Notification settings menu and confirm that your desired applications are toggled to the 'On' or 'Enabled' position. Ensure the 'Mirror my iPhone/Android' setting is active if you want all phone notifications to be reflected on your wrist.
3. Disable Focus or Do Not Disturb modes. Check that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not currently active on your smartphone or watch. When these modes are enabled, they suppress incoming notifications by design. Swipe down to open the Control Center on your wearable and ensure the moon or focus icon is unlit.
4. Confirm notification delivery settings. Check if your watch is set to 'Silent' or 'Theater' mode.
