How to Resolve a Wearable Device Stuck on the Logo

Learn how to force restart and restore a wearable device that is frozen on the manufacturer logo screen.

  1. Perform a forced hardware restart. Press and hold both the side button and the Digital Crown simultaneously. Maintain pressure for at least 15 seconds until the screen goes black and the logo reappears. Release the buttons immediately once the logo appears to allow the device to attempt a normal boot sequence.
  2. Verify power levels. Connect the wearable to its official magnetic charging dock. Ensure the power adapter is plugged into a wall outlet rather than a computer USB port. If the device is completely drained, it may take up to 30 minutes for the screen to transition from the logo to the charging indicator.
  3. Inspect physical obstructions. Examine the Digital Crown and side buttons for debris or liquid residue. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the area around the buttons. If a button is stuck in the pressed position, the device will remain in a boot loop.
  4. Toggle Bluetooth on the paired device. Navigate to Settings > Bluetooth on your smartphone and toggle the switch to the Off position. Wait 30 seconds and toggle it back to On. This interrupts any background sync processes that may be hanging during the wearable's boot phase.
  5. Unpair and re-pair via the companion app. If the device manages to boot to the watch face, open the companion app on your smartphone. Select the device information menu and choose Unpair Device. Once the process completes, perform a fresh setup to overwrite corrupted system cache files.
