Optimize your training data by customizing workout metrics on your Apple Watch. Learn how to reorder, add, and remove data screens for specific activities.

  1. Open the Workout settings. Open the Watch app on your paired iPhone. Navigate to the My Watch tab, scroll down, and select the Workout menu.
  2. Choose the workout activity. Select Workout View from the menu list. Locate the specific workout type you wish to modify, such as Outdoor Run or Cycling, and tap it.
  3. Edit the metrics view. Tap Edit at the top right of the screen. Use the red remove button to delete unwanted metrics or the green plus button to add new ones. Drag the three-line handles to reorder the metrics as they will appear during your workout.
  4. Save the changes. Tap Done once your desired metrics are arranged. Your Apple Watch will sync these changes automatically via iCloud.
  5. Switch views during a workout. Start a workout on your Apple Watch. Use the Digital Crown to scroll through the custom views you just configured to ensure the data displays in your preferred sequence.
