How to Customize Your Apple Watch Face
Learn to personalize your Apple Watch face with custom complications, color schemes, and layouts to maximize your glanceable data.
- Enter the face gallery. Press and hold the current watch face on your Apple Watch display until the editing mode engages. Swipe left or right to navigate through your existing faces, or scroll to the far right and tap the plus icon to add a new design from the gallery.
- Initiate customization mode. With your desired watch face selected, tap the Edit button at the bottom of the screen. This shifts the interface into the configuration view, where you can modify individual components of the face design.
- Select colors and styles. Swipe left or right to toggle between configuration screens, such as Style, Color, or Fonts. Rotate the Digital Crown to cycle through the available options within each category to refine the visual aesthetic of your watch face.
- Configure complications. Swipe until you reach the complications selection screen. Tap a highlighted complication slot on the preview, then rotate the Digital Crown to select the specific data or application shortcut you want to display in that position.
- Save your configuration. Press the Digital Crown once to exit the customization menu. Press the Digital Crown again to return to the active watch face view to confirm your changes are live.
