How to Create an Automated Bedtime Scene for Smart Lights

Configure an automated bedtime scene for your smart lights to trigger warm tones and brightness levels at a specific time using the Home app.

1. Initialize the scene creation process. Open the Home app on your iPhone. Tap the plus icon in the top-right corner, then select Add Scene. Choose Add Custom to create a scene from scratch, and name it Bedtime.
2. Add accessories to the scene. Tap Add Accessories and select every light bulb or lamp you want included in your bedtime routine. Tap Done once all desired devices are selected.
3. Adjust lighting parameters. Long-press on your added accessories to adjust their settings. Set the brightness to 10% and select a warm color temperature or amber color to reduce blue light exposure.
4. Schedule the scene. Return to the Home tab and tap the Automation tab at the bottom. Tap the plus icon and select A Time of Day Occurs. Set your preferred bedtime, choose every day of the week, and select your Bedtime scene as the action.
