How to Transfer Guest Access for Smart Locks

Securely manage and transfer guest permissions for your smart lock. Follow these steps to revoke old access and issue new digital keys.

  1. Open the access management menu. Launch your smart lock application on your smartphone. Navigate to the Settings tab, select Guest List or User Management, and identify the current guest profile you intend to modify.
  2. Remove existing guest permissions. Select the guest profile to be removed. Tap the Edit or Manage button, then select Delete Guest or Revoke Access to remove their digital key from the lock memory.
  3. Generate a new guest invitation. Tap the Add Guest or Invite New User button within the Guest List interface. Enter the name and mobile number or email address of the new guest to initiate the request.
  4. Set access parameters. Define the access type, such as Permanent, Recurring, or Temporary. Select specific days and hours if the guest access requires time-bound restrictions, then tap Save.
  5. Confirm the status of the new key. Return to the main Guest List to ensure the new user appears as Active. Verify the guest receives the invitation notification via SMS or email to confirm their access.
