How to Configure Smart Home Zones in Apple Home

Organize your smart home efficiency with custom zones. Learn how to group accessories by room or area for simplified control and automation.

1. Open the Home app and access Room settings. Launch the Home app on your iPhone. Tap the More (...) button in the top right corner and select Room Settings from the drop-down menu.
2. Select the target room. Locate the specific room you wish to add to a zone from the provided list. Tap the room name to open its configuration pane.
3. Assign a zone to the room. Tap the Zone field. Select an existing zone from the list or tap Create New to define a custom area, such as Upstairs or Ground Floor.
4. Save your changes. Tap Done in the upper right corner of the screen to commit your changes. Repeat this process for every room you want to include in that specific zone.
5. Test your zone with Siri. Invoke Siri by saying Hey Siri or holding the Side button. Issue a command using the zone name, such as Turn off all lights in the Upstairs zone.
