How to Organize Devices into Rooms in Apple Home

Organize your smart home accessories into specific rooms within the Apple Home app for easier control, Siri commands, and status monitoring.

1. Open the Home app. Launch the Home app from your Home Screen. Ensure your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same iCloud account associated with your home hub.
2. Access Room Settings. Tap the ellipsis icon (three dots) in the top-right corner of the app dashboard. Select 'Edit' or 'Room Settings' from the dropdown menu to enter management mode.
3. Create a new room. Navigate to the 'Rooms' tab. Tap the menu icon (three lines) in the top-left corner and select 'Add Room'. Enter the name of the room and select a wallpaper if desired.
4. Assign accessories to the room. Navigate to the 'Accessories' tab within the room settings. Select the devices you wish to move into this room. Toggle the switch for each device to confirm its new location.
5. Review device placement. Return to the main Home dashboard. Swipe horizontally across the top navigation bar to confirm your new room appears and contains the correct accessories.
