Fixing Incorrect Device Behavior in Smart Home Scenes

Troubleshoot and resolve smart home scenes triggering the wrong devices. Follow these steps to audit, reset, and reconfigure your automated scenes.

1. Inspect the active scene configuration. Open your home management application and navigate to the Scenes tab. Select the malfunctioning scene and tap the Edit button to view the list of assigned devices and their specific states. Identify any device currently present that should not be triggered by this automation.
2. Delete the incorrect device mapping. Within the Edit Scene interface, locate the incorrectly listed device. Swipe left on the device entry or tap the red removal icon to delete it from the scene list. Confirm the removal to ensure the scene no longer attempts to send signals to the unauthorized hardware.
3. Refresh the device state cache. Exit the scene editor and navigate to your main dashboard. Perform a pull-to-refresh action or restart the management application to force a state update across all synchronized hubs. This ensures the controller clears any residual configuration ghosts from its local cache.
4. Add the correct device and state. Return to the scene editor and tap the Add Devices button. Carefully select the correct hardware from your list and define the intended state, such as power status or brightness level. Confirm the changes and save the updated scene settings.
5. Test the scene for accuracy. Trigger the scene manually from your control dashboard. Observe the physical devices to confirm only the correct hardware responds. If the incorrect device still responds, perform a factory power cycle on the incorrectly responding hardware to clear its internal memory buffer.
